An Evening at the Theater

We are so lucky to live so close to one of the up and coming revitalized cities in the country. I could start naming all the wonderful things going on in Cleveland, if you want to read a whole long list, but perhaps one of the best and most important things is the fantastic theater district. Cleveland has the best theater district second only to New York. Would you believe that Cleveland now has 10 theaters in Playhouse Square, all within the downtown area! We have the Allen, the Hannah, the Ohio, the State, the Palace, the Westfield Studio, the 14th Street, Kennedy's, Second Stage, and the Lab Theater! A variety of productions take place year round. And now many restaurants are moving into the area offering great food for enjoyment before the theater production begins.

It was our great opportunity to attend a theater production at the Palace Theater this past week - the Broadway play, "War Horse." It was fabulous! And the "horses" were unbelievably realistic with the mannerisms and movements of a real horse. The puppeteers were excellent! We had a great time. The Palace is beautiful. Our seats were on the balcony level with an unobstructed view of the stage.

Two upcoming popular productions coming soon are "The Lion King" and "The Book of Morman". We are looking forward to attending both! So what I'd like everyone to realize is that Cleveland is THE PLACE! Why fight the big city congestion when you can vacation in Northern Ohio and see some great theater! Give us a shot at making your day! And remember that Oberlin and Hallauer House B & B are just 40 minutes west of Cleveland. We'd love to  have you stay with us on your trip to the theater! Give us a call!
